For Shipborne Defence applications, Hatches are the means to access upper decks as well as compartments on the masts where most of the high power RF compartments are located. If these hatches do not provide the requisite shielding, equipment housed is likely to be affected by external signals or it may leak outside as well.
BNN has undertaken onsite shielding effectiveness measurements to ascertain the performance of such installations. The testing is carried out as per IEEE 299:2006. Test locations and Frequencies are specified in the standard. However actual locations may depend on the access and user requirement.
