ALSE Validation using Long Wire Method

ALSE Validation using Long Wire Method

The Modelled Long wire (Long Wire) measurement confirms the conductivity and grounding of a metallic test table used in automotive EMC measurements within an ALSE. The enclosure is lined with ferrite and other radio frequency absorbing methods.
Testing between 150KHz to 1GHz falls into NABL accredited scope of EMR Division and is carried out using a modelled Long wire antenna on the transmit and with Monopole, Bi-conical and Log Periodic antennae on the receive end. The test standard followed is CISPR 25.
In the frequency range between 1 to 6 GHz, no standard test method is available and the testing is carried out by comparison with an identical measurement in an open area test site.
